Another Wolf Bites the Dust

JJ writes,

Once again the Sheepdogs prevail… this time in Indianapolis, Indiana. A shopper at a grocery store pulls out his pistol and stops an armed robbery.

A grocery store customer in Indianapolis is being credited with halting an armed robbery by pulling his own weapon and pointing it at the assailant until police arrived. According to a report in the Indianapolis Star, Charlie Merrell, 51, was in a checkout line at a grocery store called Bucks IGA on the city’s south side when a “masked man jumped a nearby counter and held a gun on a store employee.” The police report cited by the newspaper said the incident happened at 5:17 in the afternoon Monday as Merrell was doing some year-end shopping. “While the suspect was demanding cash from the workers,” according to the police report, “Merrell pulled his own handgun, pointed it at the robber and ordered him to put down his weapon.” Read More

Death by Dragging

JJ writes,

Wendell Sinn Jr., 45, could face murder or manslaughter charges in connection with the dragging death of 20-year-old Jerid Sturman-Camyn along a rural Pend Oreille County road following a confrontation at a hunting camp, authorities said during a preliminary court appearance in Pend Oreille County.

I guess Mr. Sturman became very violent so Wendell Sinn decided to have his son drag him behind his pickup for 13 miles to cool him off. Well, Mr. Struman died of suffocation.

What disturbs me personally about this story, besides the actual events, is that I know Wendell Sinn. What’s even more weird, is that we really weren’t fond of each other. Wendell worked for a large construction company and was the lead contractor of a brand new building in Spokane, which I was once responsible for. We constantly had power struggles with the integrity of the building and it seemed I was always on the phone with the guy, asking him why my brand new, multi-million dollar, building was always falling apart. It got so bad that he avoided my calls on many occasions.

Well, he is claiming it was in self defense and I am a bit disturb by the fact he was released on a 100K bond. This doesn’t make any sense to me.

Remember… Then Soldier On

JJ writes,

Take a few minutes to remember today. Then take much more time to ponder what Foehammer so eloquently stated:

“The United States of America is not a nation of victims, we are a nation of warriors. We have fought for Freedom like no other nation in history. Never forget that. It is one thing to remember those we have lost, but it is another thing altogether to constantly reopen wounds and give hope to our enemies that we can be carved away into nothing but dust by their acts of hatred.”

Are you a Sheepdog?

JJ writes,

I know this is a bit old but this was this first time I have ever read it. I heard Michael Savage talking about a essay entitled “On Sheep, Wolves, and Sheepdogs.” It’s actually out of the book, “On Combat” by Lt. Col (ret) Dave Grossman.

Dave Grossman is an internationally recognized scholar, trainer and speaker on the subjects of violence and human aggression and a Pulitzer Prize nominee for his book titled “On Killing“. He is currently the director of the Killology Research Group. You may find out more about the author, his books and calendar of speaking engagements on his website www.killology.com

Here are a few blurbs:

Here is how the sheep and the sheepdog think differently. The sheep pretend the wolf will never come, but the sheepdog lives for that day. After the attacks on September 11, 2001, most of the sheep, that is, most citizens in America said, “Thank God I wasn’t on one of those planes.” The sheepdogs, the warriors, said, “Dear God, I wish I could have been on one of those planes. Maybe I could have made a difference.” When you are truly transformed into a warrior and have truly invested yourself into warriorhood, you want to be there. You want to be able to make a difference.
“If you are a warrior who is legally authorized to carry a weapon and you step outside without that weapon, then you become a sheep, pretending that the bad man will not come today. No one can be “on” 24/7, for a lifetime. Everyone needs down time. But if you are authorized to carry a weapon, and you walk outside without it, just take a deep breath, and say this to yourself…”Baa.”

Scam Targeting Vulnerable Military Spouses …

BlueCollarMuse writes,

I remember an incident from almost 15 years ago. I had just left to run an errand with my young son when a predator called my house. When my wife answered the phone, a man told her that he had both me and our son and unless my wife would engage in phone sex with him, he would hurt us.

Thankfully, M’Lady K had the presence of mind and common sense to push back her fear and see through the scam. It was by no means easy, especially since she struggled with fear a great deal at that time, but she did it. She ran next door and the man of that house pretended to be me coming back home. It turned out the caller was an inmate in an out of state prison with a few minutes of phone privileges left who randomly dialed our number. While we were randomly selected, the intent to savage another human being for selfish gain using their love for their family was both intentional and despicable.

You expect that sort of exploitation from scum in prison. You’d think that those on the outside would be more caring, thoughtful and law abiding. You’d be wrong. The scum are at it again. And once again, it’s intentional. This time, the target isn’t housewives - it’s military wives and they are phishing as identity thieves. Thanks to Mike at Lamplighter for pointing me to this story.

According to the Red Cross, whose name and reputation are used for credibility in the scam, it works like this:

The caller (young-sounding, American accent) calls a military spouse and identifies herself as a representative from the Red Cross. The caller states that the spouse’s husband (not identified by name) was hurt while on duty in Iraq and was med-evacuated to a hospital in Germany. The caller stated they couldn’t start treatment until paperwork was accomplished, and that in order to start the paperwork they needed the spouse to verify her husband’s social security number and date of birth. In this case, the spouse was quick to catch on and she did not provide any information to the caller. The American Red Cross representatives typically do not contact military members/dependents directly and almost always go through a commander or first sergeant channels. Military family members are urged not to give out any personal information over the phone if contacted by unknown/unverified individuals, to include confirmation that your spouse is deployed. It is a federal crime, punishable by up to 5 years in prison, for a person to falsely or fraudulently pretend to be a member of, or an agent for, the American National Red Cross for the purpose of soliciting, collecting, or receiving money or material. In addition, American Red Cross representatives will contact military members/dependents directly only in response to an emergency message initiated by your family. The Red Cross does not report any type of casualty information to family members. The Department of Defense will contact families directly if their military member has been injured. Should any military family member receive such a call, they are urged to report it to their local Family Readiness Group or Military Personnel Flight.

These con men play on the deepest fear and worst nightmare a military spouse has. Pass this on to any military families you know and let’s get the word out on this one. Snopes.com posted this at their site just yesterday.

Thinking while our guys are fighting for what is precious to us over there, the least we can do is keep an eye out for what is precious to them back here …

America’s Moral Health and Pop Culture

CS writes,

In an article on Fox News entitled, “Sales of Rap Albums Take Stunning Nosedive”, it states that sales of rap music is down 21%. A drop! Historically rap music has been a climbing genre, let’s hope this trend is over and it continues to decline. The article tries to point out that rap music is negative and it may be affecting our culture negatively. Chuck Creekmur, a Rap industry insider, said, “I wish America would just be honest. America is sick. … America loves violence and sex.” But why should America be honest? What is honesty? What is right and what is wrong, can we know the difference? (more…)

The Haunting Truth about Ghosts

CS writes,

To kick off October and to combat all the spiritual lies here is a short story.

The week was sad to a certain degree; my Great Grandfather had passed away. The funeral home where we said our goodbye was an eerie place. Old. When you entered the back of the building, where all guests entered, you were greeted by a long narrow hall without any doors. No escape route at least for a kid of 10. The door looked miles away but was easily braved with my family by my side. With a twist of the tiny round knob the heavy wooden door made a long creak as it swung open, a lobby, thankfully. Smoke was filling the air; it looked like the place was on fire. Just people grieving and catching up on old times, seems some people waited until the next funeral to catch up. (more…)

Con-Science

A Cure for the Common Conscience

CS writes,

Don’t look now but Professor Anthony Bogaert said, ” These results support a prenatal origin to sexual orientation development in men.” He made these statements in an article called, “Womb Environment ‘makes gay men’” He went on to say, “A woman’s body may see a male fetus as “foreign”, he says, prompting an immune reaction which may grow progressively stronger with each male child.”

Something smells fishy, if this is a scientific study why not use scientific language instead of the politically correct word, “gay”, which is a redefinition of what, once, was a decent word. So lets read between the lines, scientists can’t find a homosexual gene so they are looking elsewhere to prove that homosexuals are a ‘third sex’.

I’m missing something, I thought evolution was supposed to ensure the survival of the species? Wouldn’t a homosexual gene, or womb issue, damage this? Well according to Bruce Bagemihl “[his studies]demonstrate the evolutionary advantage for a variety of non-reproductive, same-sex sexual relationships.” So animals have “relationships” that are binding and contingent on same-sex requirements? This sounds awfully human. Are we animals or are we more? Make up your mind scientist guy. Is it a “relationship” between two consenting adult dogs? Can dogs consent? Hmmm….

The article provides further insight by quoting Andy Forrest, smoke blower(spokesman) with Stonewall - a homosexual rights group, said: “Increasingly, credible evidence appears to indicate that being gay is genetically determined rather than being a so-called lifestyle choice. It adds further weight to the argument that lesbian and gay people should be treated equally in society and not discriminated against for something that’s just as inherent as skin colour.”

Ahh… the truth. The real agenda is now clear. Sorry bud I ain’t buyin’ a thang yer sayin’. Is there a need to even address this guys twisted truth? Maybe so. “Increasingly, credible evidence appears…” umm.. where? No homo gene, so far this womb homo creation thing is a fantasy, so where is the evidence? In your jeans maybe? Skin color and homosexuality is NOT the same. You can find evidence of a colour gene but nothing for homosexuality. Why try to prove a homo gene exists? Give it up and be “gay” with your lifestyle choice. This may be off color but having sex with someone is still a choice, right?

Psa 51:5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.

There is the problem, was the Psalmist a homo? No. We can say without a doubt that sin is sin. God placed a conscience inside of us. The Psalmist went on to say,

Psa 139:14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

Fearfully - Hebrew ירא (pronounced yaw-ray) morally revere. Wonderfully - Hebrew פּלה (pronounced paw-law) distinguished, set apart.

We were made different from all other species and were created to morally revere our creator. “Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. ” We were created by God and for His glory.

Science is trying to run a con game on our society, driven by political and evil forces. The god of this world would love nothing less than to destroy what God created, spiritually and physically. We are more than animals, don’t let them fool you. They are trying to bamboozle our society into an unhealthy lifestyle. God didn’t place warning labels on certain individuals but he did warn all humanity that the wages of sin is death. This Con-Science will NOT cure your Conscience. Only the blood of Jesus Christ and submission to His gospel will do that.

United 93

They were the first to defend. Honor them by watching this movie.

JJ writes,

It’s 15 minutes after midnight on the early morn of the 29th of April. I won’t post this until the morning but I thought I had better write this tonight while its still fresh in my mind… while the screaming still resonates in my ear and the pain of a knotted stomach is still making me ill. For the first time in years I feel overwhelmed with anger, sorrow, and pride. Tonight I watched the film United 93. Tonight I remembered.

September 11, 2001, just nine days after my firstborn son entered the world, a war was waged in the air, thousands of feet above our glorious nation. It was a day that will never leave me and I pray it will never leave you. You see, when we get wrapped up and preoccupied by the mundane repetitiveness of our daily lives we forget what’s really at stake. We forget about the incredibly enormous burden our generation faces in this post 9-11 world. As parents we are now forced to protect our young ones from an evil that promotes the slaughter of innocent women and children. As patriots we are now forced to defend our homeland from an enemy that hides in the ground like rats, waiting ever so patiently to murder in masses our fellow countrymen. As Christians we are now forced into a Holy War, against an enemy we have battled with many centuries ago. We must remember. We must always remember. “You ready? Okay. Let’s Roll!”Todd Beamer ends his call at 9:58 AM on 9/11/01 saying that they plan “to jump” the hijacker in the back who claims to have a bomb. He lets go of the phone but leaves it connected. His famous last words are said to nearby passengers, “You ready? Okay. Let’s roll!”

To the passengers of United Airlines Flight 93: You are the first warriors to shed your blood in this war that I refer to. This film honors your selflessness and your courage. May God give you refuge in His glorious kingdom and may we honor you in our thoughts and prayers. You are heroes.

This film is very important and I emplore all of you to see it. A tenth of the money made this opening weekend goes directly to help build the United 93 Memorial in Shanksville, PA. I have been to that lonely field in Pennsylvania… in fact my father-in-law was born in Shanksville. My in-laws actually own a piece of property on Stoney Creek Lake in Shanksville and have offered it to us if we ever wanted to build a house on it.

Scandal in the 82d

JJ writes,
The 15,000 paratroopers of the 82nd Airborne are among the Army’s most elite soldiers, all having volunteered to serve in a unit that trains to deploy anywhere in the world within 18 hours.

That’s why I volunteered to be a paratrooper in the Eight Duece. Now, it seems that a few homosexual paratroopers have marred the honor and prestigue from this great Army unit. These idiots, not only broke Army reg, but they whored out the image of the 82d Airborne to the world through a homosexual pornographic website. God help these men.
