Is it just me or does anyone else really really want the new Springfield XD(m)? Now i know what you are going to say… “JJ, you are just a Springfield guy, so naturally you like this pistol.” True, but take a look at what they have done with the XD:

Contoured Frame
16+1 .40 S&W capacity
Match Grade Barrel
Better Slide Serrations
Minimal Reset Trigger
16 +1 .40 S&W capacity
Melonite finish
Easier disassembly
Interchangeable backstraps
did I mention the 16+1 .40 S&W CAPACITY!!!

So needless to say, there have been some changes to the XD. Many gun bloggers, being the precious little Negative Nancy’s that they are, give the XD(m) sour scores. Mainly their beef is that most of the improvements seem to be cosmetic. Psh… Gimme a break.. This pistol is hot like fire. And if it were cold it would be Oksana cold.
