At What Price?

CS writes,

Nothing is free. Everything comes at a price. You can have anything in this world but it will cost you something. Where do you draw the line? Where is the limit? How can we turn our Nation around and at what price?

President Bush is ram rodding our country into a globalist mindset, how else can you explain Amnesty? The majority of this Nation does NOT want Amnesty for Criminals, yet we are being FORCED to take it if the Elite want it. Does this sound like dictatorship? It is time for Regime Change in the U. S. but at what price?

By 2008 EVERY U. S. citizen will have a mark in their Liscense. It is known as the Real ID act, aka National ID, aka National Database. They are willing to number us but for what reason? To know who is Real and who isn’t? Why not keep the Real citizens in our borders and the False citizens out? Then we would know with Constitutional certainty who is Real and who isn’t. Is it the U. S. governments duty to control me? The only way to control Inventory is to number it. Get ready for the New Citizen Inventory Control system. Ask yourself, would George Washington go for this? If I need to answer that then please leave this site and NEVER come back. We can stop the Real ID, but at what price?

If we think for one second we are not losing our freedoms at every stroke of President George W. Bush’s pin then you have another thing coming. I voted for him TWICE. Would I do it again? At this point I think Hilary couldn’t possibly do any worse. Atleast we would know her TRUE colors. We have been shafted. Hoodwinked. Fooled. Castrated. We are going to legalize criminals, number our FREE citizens, and seemingly FORCE Taiwan into throwing FREEDOM away for Communism. What is our price?

Taiwan is going to hold a referendum in May 2008 (the same time the Real ID act is enforced), this referendum will ask this basic question. Should we join the UN and become an independent nation? The U. S. is telling Taiwan to stop provoking China. Taiwan is a FREE country China isn’t, yet Taiwan is provoking while 1,000 Chinese missiles pointed at Taiwan. I’m lost here. Does anyone here remember Rhodesia? A free democratic country until the U. S. stopped backing them and they became a Communist country known as Zimbabwe? We must do something and what price am I willing to pay?

Patrick Henry said it best, “I know not what course others will take but as for me, give me liberty or give me death.” It may cost me my life but I will resist this move to kill our national soverignty. It is ultimately leading to a prophesied One World Government with One Dictator.

Excuse the ranting but it looks as if all hope of our once great nation is on the chop block and is about to be hopeless. Jesus come quickly.

Let me be clear. Regime Change- VOTE Right. Support Right. Live Right. Right on the Constitution. Right on the Bible. Right with God. In no way am I advocating a violent Regime Change, but if neccesary I will be willing to lay my life down for this Republic and the freedom fought for by my fathers and for my children.

Or, as it is often said, visualization can do wonders for performance.

On the practical side of things, John Hawkins over at The Conservative Grapevine linked to this story at Handguns Magazine. Written by an experienced police officer, it chronicles personal interviews with over 200 survivors of gunfights to write, What Really Happens in a Gunfight? Good stuff. This is a three part series with a link to the other parts at the end of each one. The link above is to the first installment.

Red Like Crimson

CS writes,
[KJV] Isaiah 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

I can’t remove it. Remorse can’t shame me enough. Guilt’s spindly growth overtakes the once flower garden of good deeds… it isn’t enough. I chop and cut, slash and trim. Uproot and transplant but it keeps coming back. Each failure shoves me deeper into the black abys of hoplessness. Another bad thought, another lie. Another hit, another line, another drink to wash away the pain.

Can a man find peace? If I had wings of an Eagle I’d take flight from my troubles. The hunt is on. My sin seeks my path with its nose to the trail lapping at each drop of blood from my wounded soul. A place to hide, someone tell me of a place to hide. My guilt is blood thirsty and ready to ravish me. Ripping apart my mind and my reasons for living. Can the night get any darker? The clouds gather and the lightning flashes. Nothing will stop this frantic hunt. I once hunted every vice my body wanted, every opportunity for . Now I’m haunted, hunted, my life is being sought.

Religion…the death of faith.

HOLYROLLER writes,

The more intimately I come to know God and his ways, the more beautiful and simple this walk of faith becomes.  I have a relationship with God that is rooted and grounded in faith.  All relationships are based on faith…knowing, loving, trusting and believing the other person.  My relationship with Jesus Christ looks much the same as any other.  I am thankful to Him for all He has done for me, I care about what He thinks, I talk to Him, I seek to know Him better and to please Him.  That is the life of faith, walking with the Lord Jesus Christ as my companion, my friend.

In sharp contrast to the above, is the tendency of all men it seems to seek religion rather than relationship.  The more I learn about people and the religious systems we set up, the fewer differences I see between them.  It is basic understanding for all people that there is something greater then themselves, and that they have fallen short of the innate goodness that God has put in them.  All cultures have standards and rules that govern society and they administer consequences for violations of those standards.  It is at this point that we respond with what seems logical, religion.

You see, all religious systems are methods by which man can bridge the gap and make themselves acceptable before God (or gods).  They are works based systems that give followers a ”to do list” by which they get right with God.  This makes sense, its logical.  It seems right to us that we should make up for our wrongs, that our sins need atoning.  So we march onward, working our way toward God becoming religious by practicing our faith and getting spiritual.  Most of America and indeed the world is engaged in this vain exercise, to include much of Cristendom.  Even when a person is genuinely born-again and finds their way into a local body of believers, many end up “doing their best” to get to heaven and relying on works to get the job done.

I guess this is an exhortation men.  An encouragement to avoid the pitfalls of what so easily besets us all.  Dont let tradition creep in and strangle the life out of your relationship with God.  Enjoy His presence and let nothing rob you of that joy.  Keep it simple…love God.  Trust Him, believe Him..like a child believes his dad.

Indispensable Shooting Accessory …

With Father’s Day coming up, I thought I’d post a URL to a site with some really cool shooting glasses as well as glasses for practical application.

Be sure and check out the testimonials. These glasses have deflected sniper rounds, stopped shrapnel from slashing eyes into uselessness and allowed the soldier to keep fighting with the shrapnel STILL EMBEDDED IN THE LENSES!

For some great gift ideas, print the page out and leave it where family and friends can find it.

Enjoy!!

Dangerous Book for Boys…

HOLYROLLER writes,

DBFBJust heard about this book. A british author and his brother sat down to write a book about the things they liked to do and wanted to know when they were boys, the result being the “The Dangerous Book for Boys”. This book is awesome. It is not a Christian perspective, but it does celebrate manhood in all it’s glory. With sections on hunting, fishing, exploring and carpentry, I consider this book a “must read” for men…especially for fathers with boys.

Now if I was posting this anywhere else, I would feel some societal, politically correct pressure to say something about how this book is “good for girls too” and many of the things in it apply to “both genders”, but I am posting on 3G and I feel no such pressure. Fathers, men, this book is a must read.

P.S. I thought it would be cool to have a category for “must read” books, so I have added one.

God bless, HOLYROLLER.

The God Who Wasn’t There?

JJ writes,

I just got done watching the most absurd trailer for an atheist documentary. I click on a large prominent banner ad located on a Reuters article I was reading and low and behold, anti-God jibberish in flashy video format. It’s funny how they use a couple small extremist quotes and clips (AKA Westboro Baptist) to generalize Christian Americans in the beginning section of the film. They then transition into a somewhat scientific, professional, narrator explaining how Christ was not the first man to be born of a virgin, hailed as King, crucified on a cross, and rose on the third day!

Now someone please help me on my history, because we all know that I am just another one of them stupidd brayn-wershed Krishtgen hayt-monngers. What other historical figure fulfilled the prophecies of Christ? They showed a couple paintings of individuals on the trailer and I didn’t know if they were eluding that these were indeed those men. “I am just another one of them stupidd brayn-wershed Krishtgen hayt-monngers.”

My guess, the creator of this film is just another Secular Progressive that hates capitalism but doesn’t hate it enough to try and make a buck off the masses of non-believers looking to find any and every excuse not to kneel and worship Jesus Christ < -possibly a run-on sentence. I wouldn’t know. Iyes bee stuppidd.

I’m a sellout…

HOLYROLLER writes,

At least thats how I feel.  For years My family and I have attended small congregations (25-100 members) and have loved it.  I have always believed that a small church by nature is a true church, the lowlier the better.  My theory was that if the service was not entertaining, the pews were not comfortable, and food was not being served that only the True Believers would come.  I was sure that this was the only way to be sure they were coming for the right reasons.  I thought that if a church was big, they had watered down the message and were missing the mark.

This reasoning carried over into the men’s ministry I have recently been involved with.   In the beginning we had just two people show, myself included.  Over the months I tried food, encouraging emails, slide shows and energetic pleas in front of the congregations and still no men would come.  I vowed not to get discouraged, believing that this was just the sifting process that takes place in all ministries.  After time, I got discouraged and stopped going.

For the past two weeks I have attended a local Mega-church…and I liked it.  It’s big, it’s shiny, and it has an aroma thats a combination of new carpet and fresh espresso.  I sit with glee, laced with a little guilt, laughing at the drama ministry skit and staring up at the jumbo-tron sized face of the preacher.  Worship music is awesome and the children’s facilities are top notch.  I look around at the mostly white, upper middle class, suburban crowd and wonder if they are here for the right reasons…am I for that matter?

Not sure how to feel just yet.  I havent attended any of the ministry meetings yet, I am having  trouble narrowing down the selection!  I will post updates when I know where I stand.  God bless, HOLYROLLER.

Scam Targeting Vulnerable Military Spouses …

BlueCollarMuse writes,

I remember an incident from almost 15 years ago. I had just left to run an errand with my young son when a predator called my house. When my wife answered the phone, a man told her that he had both me and our son and unless my wife would engage in phone sex with him, he would hurt us.

Thankfully, M’Lady K had the presence of mind and common sense to push back her fear and see through the scam. It was by no means easy, especially since she struggled with fear a great deal at that time, but she did it. She ran next door and the man of that house pretended to be me coming back home. It turned out the caller was an inmate in an out of state prison with a few minutes of phone privileges left who randomly dialed our number. While we were randomly selected, the intent to savage another human being for selfish gain using their love for their family was both intentional and despicable.

You expect that sort of exploitation from scum in prison. You’d think that those on the outside would be more caring, thoughtful and law abiding. You’d be wrong. The scum are at it again. And once again, it’s intentional. This time, the target isn’t housewives - it’s military wives and they are phishing as identity thieves. Thanks to Mike at Lamplighter for pointing me to this story.

According to the Red Cross, whose name and reputation are used for credibility in the scam, it works like this:

The caller (young-sounding, American accent) calls a military spouse and identifies herself as a representative from the Red Cross. The caller states that the spouse’s husband (not identified by name) was hurt while on duty in Iraq and was med-evacuated to a hospital in Germany. The caller stated they couldn’t start treatment until paperwork was accomplished, and that in order to start the paperwork they needed the spouse to verify her husband’s social security number and date of birth. In this case, the spouse was quick to catch on and she did not provide any information to the caller. The American Red Cross representatives typically do not contact military members/dependents directly and almost always go through a commander or first sergeant channels. Military family members are urged not to give out any personal information over the phone if contacted by unknown/unverified individuals, to include confirmation that your spouse is deployed. It is a federal crime, punishable by up to 5 years in prison, for a person to falsely or fraudulently pretend to be a member of, or an agent for, the American National Red Cross for the purpose of soliciting, collecting, or receiving money or material. In addition, American Red Cross representatives will contact military members/dependents directly only in response to an emergency message initiated by your family. The Red Cross does not report any type of casualty information to family members. The Department of Defense will contact families directly if their military member has been injured. Should any military family member receive such a call, they are urged to report it to their local Family Readiness Group or Military Personnel Flight.

These con men play on the deepest fear and worst nightmare a military spouse has. Pass this on to any military families you know and let’s get the word out on this one. Snopes.com posted this at their site just yesterday.
