Life is life

JJ writes,

Bush has finally pissed me off for the last time. His bloated spending and his lack of border security has got my head aching. But now he decides to publically challenge the monumental ant-abortion legislation out of South Dakota, sayin that it is, in eccense, too bold. His “three exceptions” rule is not intellectually sound… it’s all pseudo-political-morality.

In cases of rape and incest?? Come on, man. Anyone in their right mind and who truly believes that life is sacred, from God, and begins at conception, would never allow for the destruction of any child based solely on how he or she was conceived. If the child was conceived in an act of violence or perversion… does that make the baby less of a human? Should that baby give up his or her life for the mental well being of the mother? Should that baby be torn apart because his father was a violent, selfish, animal? These questions seem so common sense to me. Why do we even debate this crap?

I have actually met a person conceived through rape and he is a great man. Thank God that his mother cared more for his life than her mental health. Actually she saved herself from a life filled with guilt that oftentimes plague post-abortive women.

Aborting a child is never, and will never, be an acceptable option. Life is life.

GOP Wars

Tancredo vs. McCain

JJ writes,

Let’s face it, McCain has his head way up is hynie on many issues that are important to conservatives. Tancredo wrote a letter to McCain that challenges his new legislation co-authored with Sen. Edward “Chappaquiddick” Kennedy.Their bi-partisan proposal would allow illegal aliens to stay in the U.S. legally as ”guest workers,” having the opportunity to earn U.S. citizenship.

Here is a part of Tancredo’s letter:

“Make no mistake about it – your plan and my plan offer very different solutions to our party and our country. Your plan has its fans among big business. They want to continue reaping profits from cheap, low-skill labor while passing on social service costs of that labor to the taxpayer. They cloak their desire for open borders in their demand for “one more” amnesty, knowing full well that rewarding illegal behavior merely encourages more of the same. My plan – and the House bill that passed with the support of 36 Democrats – takes a different approach. Instead of waving the white flag and retreating from the border, I suggest that we make an honest attempt at securing our country and enforcing the law. That means that we prosecute businesses that hire illegal aliens, that means that we provide the Border Patrol with the manpower and technology to do its job, and that means that we make federal and local law enforcement cooperate on immigration matters.”

Speak Out For Others

For those of you who think us conservatives hate the poor or weak

JJ writes,

Once humanity has determined a course of action to be beneficial to the powerful or the majority, little thought is given to the few, the powerless that may be crushed.

Abortion, euthanasia, fetal tissue research - all of these actions bring huge profits to some. They are justified as benefitting the larger majority of society. Who cares about the powerless whose lives are snuffed out?

We cannot be silent, friends. Someone has to speak for the victims, or our society becomes more and more wretched and hideous, while we become more blissfully ignorant.

Thank God that Jesus stood up and spoke for us! He did His speaking with the cross! Now we have life and salvation! Can we help but speak out likewise for others, for the poor and destitute?

“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute.” Proverbs 31:8

Illegals-advocates to stalk kids

Day-labor center strikes back at border group, plans to picket members’ homes, schools, jobs

JJ writes,

Can somebody send me a giant freaking roll of duct tape becauce if my head explodes and I make a mess on the carpet, the wife is gunna be pissed at me. And if it does explode it will be a direct result from the article I just read on WND entitled “Illegals-advocate group to stalk Minutemen kids.

Let me break this down reeeaall simple like: A group of idiots illegal advocates in Maryland, who call themselves Casa of Maryland, plan on picketting the homes of the Maryland Minutemen and the schools of their children. Why? Because they are angry, angry, liberals who can’t deal with the Maryland Minutemen’s objective. MM’s objective is to simply find companies and contractors who are breaking federal law by hiring illegal aliens. What wrong with enforceing federal law? Well, Casa of Maryland thinks that the Minutemen are using (dare I say) “extremist” methods by disenfranchising immigrants. Gustavo Torres, executive director of Casa de Maryland told the Maryland Gazette,

“If they are going to do this to us, we are going to respond in the same way, to let people know their neighbors are extremists, that they are anti-immigrant. They are going to hear from us.”

First off the Minutemen Project is not anti-immigrant, Mr. Torres (as if that’s your reeeeaall name). They are anti-ILLEGAL immigrant. You might not see that as a big difference, but we do. And so does the law. These knuckleheads at CASA are even funded by government monies. Yes that’s right… American taxes are helping fund an organization that helps illegal immigrants find jobs where THEY DON”T HAVE TO PAY TAXES! WTF(what-the-frick)?

JC’s GirlsGirlsGirls?

Ex-Strippers get lapdances in the name of God

JJ writes,

So let me get this straight: former strippers… turned Evangelical Christian… go to Strip Clubs and pay for lap dances… in order to witness to the topless dancers? The trio known as JC’s GirlsGirlsGirls do just that. I don’t know about you, but for me it is oftentimes difficult to speak of the love of Jesus to a stranger in a NORMAL setting. How do these ladies convey the love of God while grinding on a half naked woman? Any thoughts?

In the Face of Evil debut

JJ writes,

The critically-acclaimed, award-winning documentary, “In the Face of Evil: Reagan’s War in Word and Deed,” will make its national television debut, in a special broadcast by the Trinity Broadcasting Network tomorrow, on President’s Day.

“In the Face of Evil” details the history of the Cold War and Ronald Reagan’s 40-year campaign to bring an end to Soviet communism and reveals how one man’s faith, determination and unwavering-conviction altered the course of world history.

If any of you wanted the DVD but couldn’t shell out the cash, check it out tomorrow in celebration of President’s Day. I watched it awhile back and was pretty impressed. It’s a tad long but very moving.

10 p.m. Eastern, 7 p.m. Pacific.

Cindy on Ebay!

Chad writes,

I’m so excited. I just emptied my bank account so I can purchase me up a speaking engagement with Cindy Sheehan. It was worth every penny.

I’m so glad that Cindy is selling herself on Ebay. I wonder if any other benefits come with the package.

Anti-War T-Shirt

JJ writes,

My son is 4 years old and goes to a Montessori School in Spokane. He goes every weekday from 9am to noon and he learns socializing skills, math, reading, and even a little Spanish. Unfortunatley his school is filled with peanuts parents who are liberal moonbats. Today I dropped him off at school and one of his buddies is wearing a oversized PJALS (Peace & Justice Action League of Spokane) t-shirt. It says something to the effect of “Save our Troops, Bring Em Home.” Now don’t get me wrong, I am a firm supporter of the Freedom of Speech, but I was just disgusted at the sight of this poor little kid being used as a billboard to corrupt his classmates. He couldn’t be more than 3 1/2 years old, not nearly old enough to understand what is on his shirt.

Needless to say this didn’t sit well with me. Everything inside me wants to either 1) write a letter to the school explaining my digust at the site of this communist t-shirt my son has to be subject to(OR on the flipside) 2) send my son to school in conservative t-shirts (I still have a “Abortion is Homicide” kids tee from when I used to run a RFL chapter). Am I being too paranoid, close-minded, or hate-mongering here? Please comment with your thoughts on this.

Super Bowl X(smeL)

Steelers win their fifth Super Bowl with a lil help from their “12th Man”… the officials

JJ writes,

Fox Sports writer Kevin Hench picked the Pittsburgh Stealers Steelers to win Super Bowl XL. But, like many Americans (especially us poor Seahawks fans), he thought Super Bowl XL was disgracful.

This is the space where I get to crow about the frightening precision of my Super Bowl prediction. Where I get to remind everyone that I guaranteed the Steelers would win the title after they beat the Colts. That they were the only championship-caliber team among the final four. That they would dismantle the Broncos in Denver and waylay whomever the NFC sent at them. This is the space where I get to wag a finger at my colleague Ian O’Connor, with whom I’d waged a dueling columns battle of opposing prognostication. He picked the Seahawks and made a very strong case for them. This is the space where I get to say, I told ya so. But I won’t. I can’t. I’ve never felt so empty being right. I feel dirty. I wish I’d been wrong. The Steelers did not deserve to win this game. They were not the better team. O’Connor was right. Seattle was the better team… …I’ve been shrieking hysterically about the terrible officiating in the NFL and warning that some day the brutal calls were going to affect the outcome of the Super Bowl. That some day was Sunday. Read entire article

Michael Smith- ESPN

“If you read between the lines, though, they pretty much spelled out in bold letters that they had plenty of help in handing Pittsburgh its fifth Lombardi Trophy. Namely, the boys in black and white.” read entire article

Randy Hill- Fox Sports

In the interest of objectivity, I must admit that the officiating in the Rose Bowl was mediocre. The Super Bowl officiating was far worse. Lousy pretty much defines it, with several calls greatly affecting the outcome of the game. According to league insiders, the pregame coin flip probably should have been referred to the review both. At one point, the Seahawks were burdened with so many yellow flags that observers believed Steelers fans were pitching their terrible towels all the way down to the field turf.

There is a good life lesson here. Although I am clueless to what it might be.
