Venezuela Dictator Hugo Chavez has vowed to bring down the U.S. government. Chavez, president of Venezuela, told a TV audience: “Enough of imperialist aggression; we must tell the world: down with the U.S. empire. We have to bury imperialism this century.” The guest on his television program, beamed across Venezuela, was Cindy Sheehan, the antiwar activist. Chavez recently had as his guest Harry Belafonte, who called President Bush “the greatest terrorist in the world.”Chavez is pushing a socialist revolution and has a close alliance with Cuban dictator Fidel Castro.
Regardless of your feelings about the war in Iraq, the issue here is that we have a socialist dictator vowing to bring down the government of the U.S. And he is using our money to achieve his goal!
The Venezuela government, run by dictator Chavez, is the sole owner of Citgo gas company. Sales of products at Citgo stations send money back to Chavez to help him in his vow to bring down our government.

Usually I skim through the headlines everynight before bed, usually in total disgust (tonight was no different). I stumbled upon a article about a man who heard a noise coming from a black pastic bag in a lake in Brazil. The man, thinking someone had tried to drown a cat, used a stick to fish the bag out of the water. To his and other onlookers surprise he found a 2 month old baby girl in the black trash bag. I believe this man get’s well deserved “hero” status. (Read more and watch the footage of the rescue)
It is truly a miracle from God that this precious little girl survived her attempted murder. It reminds me of the millions of abortions that go on every year in the world. The people who are given the responsibility to protect their little blessings from God, instead murder them for convenience. It’s a horrible world we live in.
Three words that describe me.
I was just up late tonight doing some serious thinking about God and life and my (often times) pathetic attempts to be a good Christian. It seems that I always find myself wishing I were at a better place in my walk with the Lord. What troubles me most is that God has made certain aspects of His master plan for us, so stinkin’ simple… yet I still find myself lost at times. Does anyone else get off track? Am I the only one with Adult ADD? I can sit here and ask “why, why, why, why, why” but I already know the answer to all these questions. I completely and utterly understand my folly. I’m a lazy, forgetful, procrastinator. That’s the sum of it.
I FORGET that my family counts on me to be the spiritual leader of this house. I PROCRATINATE spending time in prayer with our Lord.
I am too LAZY to study and soak in the Holy Scripture.
These are some of the worst of my sins but it’s only the tip of the iceberg. All sorts of sin trickle down as a result of these. I could go on and on about how weak I really am but that would just depress most of you. But what I want to do instead is offer a quick message of hope for all of you who happen to be in the same boat as I. God uses brokenness to bring us closer to Him. He does not despise a broken, repentant, heart. Seek Him in these difficult times and always remember that you were bought and paid for with the most precious blood of Jesus Christ our Lord.

PITTSBURGH - A high school senior who was transferred to an alternative school as punishment for parodying his principal on the Internet is suing the district, arguing it violated his freedom of speech. Justin Layshock had used his grandmother’s computer and the Web site MySpace.com to create a phony profile under the principal’s name and photo. The site asks questions, and Justin filled in answers peppered with vulgarities, fat jokes and, to the question “what did you do on your last birthday?” the response: “too drunk to remember,” according to the lawsuit filed on Justin’s behalf by the American Civil Liberties Union. School officials weren’t amused. They questioned the teenager about the site on Dec. 21, and he apologized to the principal, the ACLU said. Then, on Jan. 6, the district suspended Justin for 10 days and transferred him to an alternative program typically reserved for students with behavior or attendance problems, according to the lawsuit. He also was banned from school events, including tutoring and graduation ceremonies.
I don’t know…but I think what you do on the computer and internet at any place other than school is YOUR business. I really don’t see how this kid got in trouble, especially since none of this happened in school.

I got my site, The Southern Beat, back up and running the other day. It is more of a personal blog now instead of political. Just daily thoughts and ranting from time to time.
Oh…and I finished exams today. 
Yet another year passes. Another million and a half babies killed by bad law. The idiocy that is the Supreme Court ruling “Roe v. Wade” has been protected for yet another year. The soldiers of the left: the angry feminazis, the liberal politicians, the ditsy moonbats, have been successful, for the last 33 years, in legally killing their unborn children.
This day, called Sanctity of Life Sunday, is a horrible one indeed. It marks the single greatest mistake of our country’s history. God forgive us for the millions we have butchered. And bless those who fight against this injustice. Amen.

Panthers: owned!!!! My Seahawks finally do it! I thought I would never live to see the day the Hawks go to the Super Bowl. I’ve been waiting over twenty years for a playoff win let alone a Super Bowl appearance. Miracles do happen!
As some of you know, my wife is from Pennsylvania and she is a big Steelers fan. It’s going to be an crazy Super Bowl Sunday in the Honeycutt house. Interesting fact: My sisters went to high school with Pittsburgh Steeler ProBowl star Troy Polamalu in Winston Oregon. I guess his high school girlfriend actually lived by us. Love the guy (he is a good Christian man and toughest defensive player in the league) but I hope the Hawks can pull through.

Does anyone remember the Bill O’Reilly interview on The Letterman Show in early January? I almost peed my pants watching Letterman make an idiot of himself. Letterman (instead of keeping true to form with his dry humor shtik) tries to get serious on Bill O’Reilly. Hey Letterman: What are you smokin? Just a friendly suggestion, stay outta politics. It makes you look like an dumbass dodo-head.

Does anyone see something wrong with this picture? Where in the world has justice gone? Is sexual assualt on children less of a crime then scaming Wendy’s? I’m not saying the Finger lady should get off, I am just dumbfounded that these men get slaps on the wrist compared to her.
